Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Defamation Case

I'm after a bit if guidance from some legal eagles.

I got a letter today from the solicitor of a former employee stating that I had defamed her client by stating that she stole €700 from us on her last day of employment. This alleged conversation took place with her former co-worker, allegedly. What I said was the money was missing and I was disappointed that had not been able to find it.

The said former co-worker was drinking at the time. I never stated the money was stolen or that any one person was responsible for the missing money. I also never said that the money was stolen, only missing.

I have been ordered in this letter to propose a means to re-instate my former employees good name and to issue a written and unreserved apology so that this apology may be circulated to the co-worker and the said co-worker will in turn circulate this to the parties that she has said all this to.

So my question is do I have any case at all to answer here or any responsibility?
