    I am into my second year of playing guitar and at the moment Famous Last Words is my favorite song, I just cant get the solo. How should I approach it?

    First get the chords under the solo. Record these and note by note tackle the solo. It will help if you can grasp what is happening in the solo as it relates to the underlying chord progression. So some bits of the solo may sound like the chord others like a melody being played.
    Watch it being played and copy the positions, the notes will come. Have fun with it, they are a good band.
    There may be some tab available, but I would suggest using your ears to learn this.

    It's pentatonic/blues scale runs and rock lick stuff.
    learn some easy standard rock licks off first and build up from there,
    if this is your first attempt at learning a solo maybe try something a bit slower first,
