Recently started my first job, and I now find myself with a steady stream of income that I'm not entirely sure how to manage.

I'd like to start saving and investing my money, but my financial literacy is quite poor. I'm very good at math (I'm an Engineer) and already know a bit of basic accountancy, but beyond the concepts of "debt" and "interest" I know very little. Certainly when I look at investment options my brain begins to get dizzy.

I'd love to attend a night course if possible on the subject, where could I find such a course?

dump as much as you can into AVC's and pension , they are tax free , you'll be glad you did .

read /listen to jim rohn on the subject . brian tracy is also very good .

Get qualified advice first. Putting money into pensions is good but unless it is done the right way you can often lose. The pensions people bang on about tax relieft but that is no consolation if you lose half your money! Get advice and pay for it from a proper financial advisor.
