Direct lighting needed for mini greenhouse?

I have 5 old internal doors left over and would like to build a small greenhouse by making a shelving system from them and covering them with poly tunnel plastic. I am concerned that there will not enough light between the shelves for plants, especially in summer when the sun is high, however there will be plenty of warmth.

is it just a bad idea to use them for this use?

Edit: if I have each shelf a metre above the other, will that help more light in?
