Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Probably a dumb question, but do you need data enabled for the garmin app to work?

Nephew was thinking of buying the US version to drive across the states later this year but the data charges would kill him

I know you don't with CoPilot.

I use the Tom Tom Western Europe app whilst abroad, with data turned off, and it works great. Think they have a US version too.

You can tell by the size of the app. If its massive - like 1GB or thereabouts - you know it has all the maps preloaded and therefore only relies on the GPS and no data.

The Google Maps SatNav, awesome as it is, requires data to download the maps on the go and you can tell because the app is normal sized.

Is that Navigon? No data needed all maps are on the phone.
