the DeLisle silenced carbine in .45ACP was used by SOE in France in the closing years of WW2.

The muffled 'clik' is all there is. ;)

Reminds me of the Welrod pistol which was in use among resistance fighters. Easy to make and easy to use, extremely silent and easy to conceal. Great for dealing with Waffen SS sentries when you are sneaking into the Schloss Adler fortress to rescue General Carnaby before SS-Standartenführer Kramer can make him talk about the plans for D-Day.;)

Amazingly muffled. And a 45ACP with it. Many years ago I had the opportunity to fire a Colt 1911 and by god you knew that yoke was firing. Very cool Tac. :)

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Well, the .45ACP cartridge fires its bullet at sub-sonic velocities anyway, but it makes a great job of muffling the gas noise. The action of the bolt makes more sound than the 'non-bang'.
