Holy F uuuck, 490 points I didn't expect that. Dissapointed with German though, really thought I could have gotten an A. Might recheck it.

    Congrats everyone!

    605 as well!

English, Maths, Physics and Biology as A1's. Irish, Chemistry, Applied Maths as A2's and Spanish as a B1.

Little bit disappointed about Chemistry and Applied Maths as I came down from the mocks. Otherwise, delighted! :D

Got 460, absolutely delighted even if I don't get my first course. I'm hoping I did though. Going from a D3 to a B2 in Accounting from the mocks is great! :P

570, which is amazing for me, but I can't even get excited because I'll probably be taking a year out and re-applying.

Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted!

Yeah, medicine. I know, I feel kinda ungrateful that I'm disappointed but so would everyone else if they didn't get their course I suppose.

Yes, there's a closing date written on the form (the one you should have got with your results today?), so just make sure you have it filled out and dropped into the school before that date.

Is anybody else on this forum starting Computer Science at Trinity College, Dublin?

I might if I don't get my first or second choice, I'm going at 11 so I can avoid seeing disappointed faces and get worried for no reason..

But if you wait for second round don't you have to ignore first round offers? If that's the case couldn't such a gamble leave me idle in September?

You can accept your first round offer, and if you get a second round offer (which has to be a higher preference than your first round offer!!!) you can then accept that instead and your first acceptance is cancelled.

if you take 2nd choice but get offered 1st choice you can over rule + take your no.1? someone correct me if am I am wrong...

edit: QueenOfLeon makes more sense than mine

Best of luck to everyone today and well done to those that got their results already, be proud of yerselves...an incredible achievement. Whether you're happy or not with your results, you've got your Leaving Cert, nobody can take that away from you. And there is so many other options.

Go easy on the gargle tonight ;)

Just a tip for anyone next year, studying's probably a good idea, as is laying off the drink and ganja for a while before the exams.

Okay, my top six results. All HL.

Geography- A1 thought I got a C or something so real happy :D
    Biology- A2 disappointed wanted A1 :/
English- A2 pretty happy, A1 would have been nice ;)
Business- B1 having got an A in the mock it's a bit disappointing but I'd have settled for a B1 after the exam :/
Economics- B3 sickened tbh, got an A1 in the mock and this is the result that has ruined my day :(
Maths- C2 Delighted, grade inflation ftw eh? :P

Will get Economics and Biology rechecked.

530 in total, kinda happy kinda sad. :)
