Trashcan Sinatras and Teenage Fanclub in the next few weeks. Christmas is coming early this year. Probably my two favourite bands who are still going concerns, and in my all time top 5.

Was wondering where this thread disappeared to..

Part of the magic for me is the build up, doing your homework, listening to old albums, checking set lists..

    I've got:

Andy Irvine and Paul Brady this weekend..
    Bon Iver @ Forbidden Fruit
    Eddie Vedder
    Arcade Fire
    Radiohead
    (Hopefully) Future Islands
    (Hopefully) Fleet Foxes
    U2
    Magnetic Fields
    Aimee Mann
    Sun Kil Moon

    .. can't wait!

What's everyone else looking forward to?

    GnR?
Was offered a ticket but can't face Slane, and what I reckon will be a carpet of puke on the hill!!

Looking forward to the Saint Aphex Twin day on Sunday at Forbidden Fruit, also want to see Moderat, Nicolas Jaar, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Fatima Yamaha. Got Body & Soul festival lined up too, looking forward to Vitalic, Bonobo, Tribe Called Red, Kelly-Anne Byrne, Austra, King Kong Company and loads of others. I hoping to see Future Islands in Galway too in July. Might chance Beatyard to see the amazing AIR and Toots and the Maytals.
Hopefully doing Electric Picnic too and if I do, looking forward to seeing The XX, A Tribe Called Quest, Chaka Khan, Madness, Soulwax and Perfume Genius among others. :)

I'm being brought to Foy Vance in the Olympia in October. Husband is a big fan. I need to do a lot of homework before we go. I don't think just knowing the chorus to "She burns" over and over is gonna cut the mustard!
