It was really good although I wished they had played more of the older stuff, even though I like the new album.

Never seen so many people wearing ear plugs :D

Haven't been to many gigs at all this year, thankfully will be remedying this in the late autumn and winter. :)
    Going to the following:

    October 3rd - The Drums - Whelan's
October 7th - Susanne Sundfør - Sugar Club*
October 16th - The Breeders - Vicar Street
October 22nd - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Max Schmelling Halle, Berlin
    October 29th - Metropolis - RDS
    November 1st - London Grammar - Olympia
    November 6th - Zola Jesus - Whelan's
    November 25th - LP - The Academy
December 2nd - Perfume Genius - Tivoli Theatre

*might not be able to go to this one as it clashes with something else, haven't decided which to go to yet

    That is a cracking list.

All I have (so far) this year is Sounds from a Safe Harbour in Cork.

Bon Iver and the National (both Cork Opera House) next Friday and Saturday.
Have a ticket to New Jackson and Donal Dineen too so hopefully that doesn't clash.
Lots of free stuff happening around too so will try get to Bantum, RSAG, Cinema and Ships over the weekend but I think there's some clashes with the main gigs there.
Apparently Big Red Machine (Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon) are doing an as-yet unannounced show so will definitely try get to that.

Would have loved to go to The National myself, sadly didn't really have enough disposable cash handy when tickets went on sale for it.

Wild Youth this Tuesday in Cork. Great up-and-coming Irish band.

Just two left this year but they are pretty good ones...

    The National - Cork
    QOTSA - Dublin

Might try to get to one or two others but weeknight gigs are a pain when you've work in the morning.
