Is it possible to get an electrical contractor to finish your time. Have about 10-15 weeks and just wondered could a contractor have you on his books even if he had no work

It is possible to change from one electrical contractor to another to serve you time, yes. This contractor must be deemed suitable by Fas, generally this is not hard to arrange.

Obviously if he has no work on you would not be permitted to finish your time by doing nothing other than hanging around.

    What do you expect?

And if he did list you as working for him then you would not be able to claim social welfare as they are all tied together these days. If fas have you down as working,SW will know about it.
