everyone here seems to be mad about signing young players. i had a team about 3 years ago that had roberto carlos, ronaldiniho, viera, rivaldo, owen and (fat) ronaldo all as starting players and got back to back promotions and won a cup with them.
they all started to retire so lost interest then

For the record, the argument isn't that there'd have been no bids on him had he not been brought up on here.

But I don't think there'd have been 19 bids and rising. We've had one manager admit that he wouldn't have known otherwise, and one manager let me know he didn't even know who the kid is, but was bidding on him because everyone else was. He isn't alone I'm guessing...

While I get your point, what else is there to do with money?

Fair enough as well if you don't see yourself playing for that long. I potentially do, so I'll happily pay the 2.4m I am allowed and which I have to spare by a long way. It's either that or let the money sit there and fester.

I ask because in this gameworld I bid the most out of every other gameworld im in because its the most I was allowed to....

I highly doubt ill be playing this game in 3 or 4 years time, let alone with the same league with the same team, but I still put in a bid.
