Wonder if I'm on the naughty or nice list :p I haven't done much business with managers at all. I prefer to buy external and any players I have at the moment, or atleast any player people are bidding on, are hot prospects IMO so I'm trying not to sell. It's nothing personal, just trying to get by like the rest :)

    Ok....

    Its not the same.....

So basically people are complaing that spurs are signing players that NOBODY has an interest in????

If the above statement is true then that makes the whole argument in the first place even more pointless than it already is, that means your complaining cause he is playing SM...

If its not true and you ARE interested (like spurs and liverpool on Willian) then im sorry but it is the same....

Chelsea arw hoovering up players... for god sake they have Mata, Hazard, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schurrle, Ramirez, lampard.....

Does it sound like they need another attacking 'in the hole' player?

    Real.life hoovering lads....

So today they sign Willian and APPARANTLY very close to Astu.....

Anyone think they are not hoovering here?

Honestly, no. They need upgrades on Moses, and there is talk Mata is on the way out. They need more cover.

    Really?

More cover in case of like an earthquake or something? I could list their attackink options but I think it would take a few hours to be honest!

Chelsea? Cover for attacking options... Really? I mean yeah tine they need a world class striker but they have about 10 Hazzard/Mata style players...

    They dont need cover

Not really, all the players Chelsea are signing are going to get game time this season or possible future stars. They were in need of a few players anyway IMO.

Where as (not that I'm bothered, just pointing out) in this gameworld the players been hovered up are not for the intention of improving the first team and probably will never get a minute of game time.

So... whats the difference between siging players in the gameworld that wont play? Are they not for.the future???

    Ok, try this... myself...

I signed Florenzi... he wont play for me, not as a starter.... yet he is fine backup to Hernanes and when Hernanes retires or is sold Florenzi may do the job.

So ecen though I hace him and don't play him that does not nean I shouldn't have signed him, nor does it mean that I should not go out and get a few more like him!!!

Call it whatever ye want, but Chelsea snapping up all this young attacking talent is because they dont want rivals having them... call it backups or future stara but we all know chelsea.have the money and have bought entire teams, like City and to an extent Utd (not as much) as opposed to bringing thought their own players.

It all boils down to the fact.that chelsea DO sign players that the do not need and these players would do a job at other clubs, its naive to think otherwise

In this transfer window, who have Chelsea signed they do not need?

Schurrle/Willian - possibly Eto'o need them all, better then whats there IMO.
Van Genkil - best under 21 in holland last season - future star.

Simon Woodward steered Juventus to victory against Panathinaikos.
Juventus hammered Panathinaikos 6 - 1 in their Friendly fixture.
Cabella scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Llorente and Vucinic were also amongst the goalscorers.

Who are Schurrle and Willian going to replace inthe team that does not already have a decent backup?

You asked for a name..... Astu.... why are they close to a deal for him?

Anyway this is straying from the crux of it all, I am not saying chelsea are wrong for doing this, its not against any rules or anything, all im saying is they (and other clubs) are hoovering up talent that other clubs could use....

    That is pretty undeniable

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

Theres a massive difference. Chelsea will play Willian. They haven't just bought him in order to trade him next season.

Eh i dunno steered Aston Villa to victory against B.
    Munich.
    Aston Villa beat B.
Munich 1 - 0 in their Friendly fixture.
Benteke had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.
Tioté was on the scoresheet for his side
