It's not a crazy suggestion that someone who has a grudge reported that deal because his own deal was blocked.

It is anonymous after all and anyone can do it.

I don't know the specifics of the deal, what was it two players for Remy?

Although it would be almost impossible for someone to have two teams it is easily possible for someone to do deals with brothers or friends that favor one club much more than the other

Ok... for the last time.... the squad cap thing.... its NOT something that can be enforced regardless so adding a cap is a non-starter so that cannot be open or closed to abuse....

To the main subject of genuine deals suffering, I said it before it happened to me and ill say it now again.....

I understand why its there, but in our fully managed gameworld, it takes away the possibility of these 'add on' deals and for smaller clubs these are just ESSENTIAL.... I cant see how others cant see this?

Disagree, I think a league like this could easily implement a squad cap if there was a desire to do so.

I'm not suggesting we should by the way, just saying that I think it could be easily implemented and enforced should the decision be made.

Ok.... but my answer to that is, eh it has already happened!!!!!!!

Again, 2 managers suffering because of a rule setup to enforce something else......

    There is no denying that

    One question.... how.

EDIT: you will NEVER get 80 managers to agree to this..... ALL 80...... cause thats what it needs to be

How would one be punished so if one continued to break the "rule". I'm not sure Mac has any real power allowing him to "kick" players from the game.

So yes, while it is possible to "implement", it is nigh impossible to enforce.

And Mac would basically kick himself out of the game! Ha ha!!!!!

LadS in all honesty the squad cap thing is a waste of time, as I said, it's impossible.....

We should really focus on the problems within the game such as this riduclous SM monitoring system, something which we CAN do something about......

The fact that you only get 10 - 15 who post here it would be difficult to get the message across but the same could be said for us self monitoring the transfer market as some people will do as they like and I'm sure there are real life friends brothers and brothers in laws that will help each other out with suspect deals and MrMac would not have any power to stop this. It is very hard to prove that it is 80 separate people with some people just being initials and others being made up. I'm not saying that the teams who have had deals blocked are the same person but its very difficult to prove that there is 80 individual when only about 15 post on here.

Transfers can't be monitored by us if it's turned off though, there's no way to stop people cheating and no way to kick them out if they get caught.

The pros outweigh the cons when it comes to SM transfer monitoring.

I've done a lot of deals and they've never been reversed and I've never been banned from doing business.

Perhaps my understanding is flawed, I thought the "Game owner" did have the power to kick players from the game. If not then I agree, it becomes nigh on impossible to enforce.

However, as this is a community game with a closed membership, it could still be possible to force somebody out or at the very least impact on how effective they can be in the game. Bear in mind that if the limit was say 50 players and they went to 51, you would be talking about very little gain (i.e. 1 player) for a lot of pain. Put simply it wouldn't be worth someone's while to do it. It would effectively become self-policing.

However, implementing it at this point when squads have already gone stratospheric, would make little or no sense as it would unfairly penalise players who were acting within the remit of the rules when they assembled that squad in the first instance. You would almost have to do a full reboot of the leagues and start again.

That's why I say I don't recommend it, but it will (at some point) become a reason why people stop playing or don't want to join the league. It is already making things noncompetitive and that will only get worse a few seasons down the line when all of the potential stars and players with the highest rankings will belong to a handful of teams who have had them since the start.

At that point the league will likely die due to disinterest outside of those handful of teams. Which will probably be an indication that it's time to declare an end to the inaugural boards gameworld and start a new one from scratch with the order of team choosing based on lowest to highest finishing position :D

Just on the '15-20 and getting the mesaage across' thats totally different to the actual enforcing of the squad cap, thats just telling people its there, I asked how you would enforce it, not inform people!!!

The second part, yes I've said on many occasion, this would be possibly open to abuse, yet people are very quick to dismiss the other side of the coin, the Isco/Remy to name just 2 side.... its holding us back as its set up right this instance, the saying goes if it aint broke..... this IS (in our transfer dead gameworld in particular) certainly not doing its proposed job, hence broken.....

I believe it was Iago who you asked how he would enforce and I believe just like any proposed cap size can't be enforced without a change in rules, the transfer market being ran by us with MrMac having no power to punish people who abuse the system could potentially a lot more harm than good, I am wondering if he turned it off and on again would that undo people who have been banned from doing deals with each other?

Thats just the thing.... Mac himself has admitted such that he does not have the power regards transfers AS IS....... If this was turned off, Isco would be at Madrid, Malaga could have spent some money.... Remy would be at Lazio and I would not now have 3 positions to fill as I sold players on the back of landing a 90 striker....

Lads, it has a knock on effect. I'm just saying, don't wait until it happens to you because the market is gone as follows

Nobody is available to he is available (but not for cash) to He is available for trade players but your player are not good enough....

A few flash deals aside, Tevez and Modric for example, not being able to do side deals to complete one big deal will ultimately finish off the already limping transfer market in this game, its only a matter of time.....

But then what do you do, for example, if I decide I'm off, so decide to give my best players to someone before I go? What if I decide I'm done but decide to give Bale, Lloris and Vertongen out to people for nothing before I go?

You too buddy. Our teams look fairly well-matched so should be a decent game.

Dave Shadow earned a draw with Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester United.
The match ended 1 - 1 between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in their Division 1 fixture.
Lloris had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.
González was on the scoresheet for his side.

No Navas or Honda, so I'll take the point.

    10 games, 6 draws in Div 1. :S
Done right, you could do that anyway......

Right now, you can report it and try and block the deals. Without monitoring, you'd have no come back.

    In some good news (hopefully)...

Word has it that the Italian league will be reviewed as and from tomorrow, I suppose that means they are done in England??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,063 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Eh i dunno earned a draw with Aston Villa against Dynamo Kyiv.
The match ended 4 - 4 between Aston Villa and Dynamo Kyiv in a thrilling Division 2 encounter.
Turan and Benteke were amongst the goalscorers.

Wow hadnt conceded a goal until this game. 4 straight wins comes to an end but an early red card didnt help

Done right, you could do that anyway......

But it could be reported and if SM feel it's an unjust/unfair deal, it will be reversed. Otherwise he could sell Bale to his mate for f-all and then leave the world with the next manager licking up after him

Yet right now there is no way to get my Remy deal done, hardly seems fair? Again, I'm going to stick to this point, a lot are saying this might happen and that might happen and CHOOSING to ignore what IS happening

SS Lazio outclassed Shanghai Shenhua and beat them 2 - 1 in their Division 3 fixture.
Bendtner scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Brady was also on the scoresheet for his side.

Ohhh, needed 3 points tonight after loosing the last 2!

Went 2-0 up and he came back and won it with a penalty.

    Joke
