Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm looking at this entry for John Hearne and family and a note on Form A states that John is already accounted for on Form H.
    Can anyone tell me what is Form H and why is the head of the household accounted for there?
    (He's an RIC man if that has anything to do with it.)

    Form H are barrack returns. Should be findable in the same town if he's RIC - but he'll be down as initials only.

    You're lucky the enumerator (most likely) put that note there, I've been left stuck before until I found out someone was in the Army.

    There's a load of special forms that are worth looking at in specific circumstances, such as boarding school ones (which have full names), mental hospitals and workhouses (both of which don't).
