Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As i said in the other LOI thread DundalkFC are bringing a big crowd to Tolka,+350 as things stand and maybe more.
Should make for great craic, before, during and after the match.Just hope no spidey holes ruin it!

Dundalk to win by a single goal.

Another exciting weekend of LOI football coming up :)

huge game in Cork, one Bohs really have to win, 9 point gap if they lose. Bohs had a decent recent record in Cork didn't they

ya they do. I think we will least get a point.

    Just hope its 3.

Hopefully FORAS can do the biz at home. With us probably losing to Dundalk, we need Bohs to stay below us this weekend.

9 point gap between us and Cork isn't really an important issue, it's letting a 5 point gap open up between us and Bray/Shels that is worrying.

Can't see us getting 3 points down there. Might get a draw.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Must not lose.

Repeat for the remainder of the seasons games. :(

Praying for a Cork win tonight. Hope we can get something out of Derry but if we don't, it's important we don't have a repeat of the 6-0 hammering in the second game of the season. A one or even two goal defeat wouldn't be the end of the world.
Another masterclass from Craig Walsh please.

After loosing last week's six pointer against UCD, we really have to get something out of tonight.

An unlikely win tonight and we can bring Cork into this relegation battle. A loss and we're going to go a long time without another win. We've been working on set pieces all this week after last week's debacle with free kicks and corners. With Cork managerless I've a sneaky feeling we'll knick a 1-0.

Also is there any live commentary for the Cork game tonight?

Thought you'd be a bit more optimistic than that. Your lot haven't lost a league game in ages. Should be a close game. Two of the most in form teams in the league. Hopefully our two in form strikers can edge it for us.

Any kind of Drogheda win will do me, 2 and a half months since the last league win and even longer since the last win at United Park.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,954 ✭✭✭✭Zebra3

Our unbeaten run should be ended by Dundalk tonight.

Fingers crossed both Bohs and Bray lose this weekend.

Tbh, fully expect Cork to beat Bohs, but Sligo v Bray, hmmm...

Screw the matches, I can't wait for the "Dublin Decider" Press Conference at 7.30 tonight....

Haven't played a good team in ages either.

All I have read is optimisim from Shels fans the past few weeks.

    Bordering on cockiness.

Jesus, cheer up. You were looking like definite relegation material back in June. Things are looking way rosier for your lot now.

Not really. They've got good results last few games. While we have lost against most sides below us this season, that needs to change fast. Hopefully starting tonight.

From neutral point of view Bohs winning tonight would make things really interesting.

Ya. Nothing wrong with it mind you, but other clubs are far less optimistic then Shels fans from what I'm reading at moment

We've beaten other teams in the bottom half of the table and we're confident Johnny Mac can keep us in the division. That's all for the time being.

But sure why not make stuff up about cockiness?

Hmmm no stuff being made up at all. I know ye come in yet droves to prove otherwise but bit of reading from past few weeks will show otherwise.

    No examples there boss, no?

anyway, it's hardly cocky to point out that we are unbeaten in 5 and moving up the table, with FORAS shedding players, seemingly getting their top wage earners off the books (preparing for a drop?) and Bohs in freefall, it DOES look like JM cam keep us in the division.

Nothing cocky there, I don't even expect us to draw tonight.

Why don't you read back. You can even prove your theory if you like ;-)

I'm not going call up other posters, just read back and you'll see.

And don't forget to thank the other sShels who will rumble into this ;-)

    Lol

If you can't actually read my posts properly ye ain't going to have much luck with others.

Dear god read what I said.

First of all I said bordering on cockiness and secondly I said I did not see problem with it.

Further proof that ye only read what you want to read.

    Ye must try harder.

    Why don't you read back.

Why don't you back up your claim?

    Oh yeah, because you can't.

    Lol why so angry?

You seem to think I was slagging off the club.

Had you read my post properly you have seen different.

So if you can't read my posts what chance have you making out other posts?

    The simple answer is zero.

Enjoy this evening, but don't forget to have another pop at me even though you don't have a clue what you're making up stuff I never said.

I hope, you enjoy your trip to Tolka, but the times, a visit to Shels meant an automatic three points are over ;)

Gonna go for a draw, but I think, there might be a surprise on the cards :D

Athlone to win El Classico de la Midlands 3-1.

A win or draw really drags Cork spiralling into the coalface of relegation given their form. A Cork win and a 9 point gap, pretty much gets them safe I think.

I reckon UCD could spring a surprise..

I'm positive about our chances of getting some form of result tonight. Form brings about that sort of confidence. Calling it cocky is silly.

Er, you said yourself it's no surprise, that cannot be described as stumbling.

It's expected, as long as you lot keep sliding it's all good.

2-0 Pats. Shams down to 10.

Signing your rivals best players isn't working. Next they should get their opponents team to announce their retirement and then sign them all a few days later. They'll get 3 points by default then when their opponent can't field a team.

Or if they were smart, they could just replace their sh*te managerial appointment.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,761 ✭✭✭AgileMyth

Shamrocks defence is beyond awful. Expect them to sign all of the defenders in the team of the year.

Nah, muck against Bray last week...looking poor again tonight.

    Run has ended.

I hope the players expectations when they line out are a bit more positive than your own. Try a bit of optimism.

Buttimer should get man of the match, won the game for Pats.
