Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Importing from China

Has anyone had any experience importing from China? I'm in the middle of negotiating the import of some parts from China. They're dirt cheap compared to some sellers on eBay and I assume the reason why is because they are not the authentic parts and more than likely copies. Not really a concern for me though since I'm saving a good bit.

Has anyone had any experience, I'm getting them directly from a factory in Xiamin?

Generally I have found the parts to be of poor enough quality, suspect metal quality and not really worth the effort.
How much are the genuine parts for the Yamaha from the UK/NI?
Fasteners are also suspect with very poor finish.
If they are non critical parts like mirrors or bodywork then they would probably work but for engine or transmission its a false economy.

I was looking into importing a fender and not so critical parts.

Ahh yeah I would run with that...worst case scenario is the measurements might be a bit off and you have to "Work With It" to fit. ;)
