I wonder how much will reach the east. It is still 6c here in Naas.

I am trying to not get excited. Pressing F5 every 5 minutes is not helping.

Keep the posts coming, will be interesting to track the snow as it heads east...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,279 ✭✭✭MayoForSam

Snowing here now just east of Tuam.

Precip is sadly further North than I hoped. Very little to my SW here in Kildare to look forward to atm. Same goes for much of Leinster south of a diaganol line from North Dublin down through Laois etc.. So unless beefy showers form later, I won't expect much, and I don't see Dublin seeing anything for now, unless we get some strong showers later.

0c at Newport, Co Mayo, surely this is unusual on the Atlantic coast in a westerly?

Same drop in temps here in N/W Kildare, no snow yet, sloppy rain is about the height of it.

DP is only -0.7 so no chance of snow yet this evening.

It will be an interesring night as the winds pick up and hopefully more snow showers. We could see blizzard like conditions, if only for one night, its better than not seeing any snow at all.

Don't see much chance of the east getting a look in , no lampost watching for me so :-(

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,238 ✭✭✭Deank

Wow, there's a turnaround, DP now -1.7 and snow is falling in N/W Kildare, big wet flakes, can't see anything sticking though.

So frustrating. The minute the temps get into the zone the precipitation disappears.
