    Snowing outside Blarney in Cork at the moment, heavy enough too!

    A friend of mine who lives on Monaghan just told me its snowing there. If the north east gets a good blast it will be in the next 5 hours

    Nothing but clear skies in Douglas. Too far north I think.

    There should be a few more opportunities later on I would imagine. Its certainly cold enough.

    Nope, do see the precipitation line forming in that image? That's how effective the shield is, in extreme situations the shield weakens to within about thirty miles, or Macroom.

    Can't see kippure anyway, and visibility isn't great so can't see the higher mountains around me, but what i can see there is sod all.

    nothing but rain last night here, the grounds and fields all around me are starting to get fairly well water logged at this stage, garden is like walking on a marsh. The met office were speaking on ITV earlier and said that the current conditions which we have been experiencing since the end of November is gonna last several more weeks at least with plenty of rain and windy conditions throughout February.
