Very strong winds in Cork harbour for the last couple of hours. Equal of most of the wind storms this winter, with the exception of Dec 26 and Feb 3. Also driving rain.

Well, MT was spot on with yesterday's forecast:
    winds easing gradually after midnight

Wind here just stopped dead almost immediately after midnight (like, just stopped!):

look at that rain in the Birmingham area (930) - and the Severn has already burst it's banks even before this downpour!

It's been snowing for the past half an hourish here in Loughrea. I can't wait for my daughter to finish playschool in an hour so I have an excuse to go out and play in it!

We had one shower this morning, around 08:45, but been hail ever since, with a few flakes thrown in for good measure. There is a lot of snow on the reeks and the Slieve Mish Mountains, here in the kingdom. Was looking at the long term GFS surface pressure and around Sunday/Monday looks not too bad for colder weather, winds coming down from polar regions, I know that does not mean snow, but it is going the right direction.

Snowing at Sea Level in North Co Dublin (Malahide) .. when I say 'snowing' I mean little flakes blowing around in the wind... it's still snow though :-)
