Cannabis - through Dublin Airport - personal use

Good evening, a friend is off on holiday soon and wants to bring a samall amount of cannabis for personal use through Dublin Airport. If its discovered can they continue their onward journey? Is there a fine ?

Get your friend to drop in to Santry Garda Station , they'll answer all his questions and save him any hassle in the airport.

Read some of the links in the thread about the Belfast girl. You need to get someone else to go through customs before you with a small amount. Unknown to them, you have rang ahead and tipped off customs. When they are stopped, and the custom guys are busy, you then stroll through with your rectum and hand luggage stuffed with cannabis.

I doubt he'd be arrested. And I'm almost positive it wouldn't be found unless he basically handed it to them.

Anecdotally, even if found on entering the country, if it's a v small amount it's just confiscated.

There is a specific section on the Ryanair website for checking in Ganja. However, you'll find it is actually much cheaper to buy it where you're going by the time you add taxes and handling charges

If your friend is caught they will be charged and No they will not be allowed to travel. Highly unlikely they check outgoing baggage for drugs. (why would someone smuggle drugs out of this country).Anyway just tell them to get it over there....Its just as easy if not easier in the like of spain, canaries etc.
