    hi
i have bought 2 * 2gb RAM to put into my HP NC4400 laptop.
    Currently it has 2*512.
I could find only one slot on the back of my laptop.
Does anyone know where is the second slot for adding additional RAM?
    thanks

Can you throw up a pic of the one slot? I had one of those years ago. Legendary laptop. I'm pretty sure I upgraded the RAM, but I'd need to see a pic.

There's a semi-useful looking doc on the HP website here.

Same for nc4200. I broke the keyboard trying to get there (my fault all the way)

You might like to dowload the technical reference manual

This job in not for the feint hearted. You will need both philips and torx screwdrivers.

    I have a Nx9420, similar vintage, I upgraded from 2 x 1GB to 2 x 2GB and got a substantial improvment in operation.
