Got 2 Belfast ones. When do you find out who's playing where?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,756 ✭✭✭peejay1986

Chanced my arm with Belfast ones instead. Sure, if I don't like the act I can sell/exchange on Adverts...can't I?

Got two for Whelans at 9, there was a teeny lag on the "do not refresh or lose your place in line" page - didn't think they'd sell out in basically a nanosecond!

Mon The Biff to Whelans :D

Is this sold out for all locations already?

EDIT: Seems to just be the Dublin locations, would be interested to see where Biffy Clyro end up, it'd be a shame if they ended up in Dublin IMO Dublin gets ALL the good acts! :(

Cork had Fatboy Slim and Ellie Goulding last year?

Oh really? I didn't pay much attention to Arthurs Day last year, I just meant in general with gigs, Dublin generally gets most of them (and fair enough I understand why).

    Nope ;)

I just want them to hurry up and announce all the smaller free acts. To my total disgrace none of the headliners hold much of an interest for me. :P

Seems the app is really the way to go, saves precious seconds which are vital for quick selling gigs

Cork seems to be sold out now too.

Just been thinking about the Whelans gig, capacity is 450, they'll be keeping 100 behind for sponsors/guest list/guinness staff leaving 350.

People were allowed to buy 4 each (although i only got 2), so if most people bought the maximum then only 88 people would have been lucky, no wonder it sold out in seconds

It was only a tenner too, so loads of people take a blind gamble, only the price of a cinema ticket, so keep an eye on toutless for people getting rid of them.

Limerick sold out too. Any idea how the headliners will be split out?

  • Registered Users Posts: 359 ✭✭pervertedcoffee

Well, so far I've seen listings for The Hot Sprockets at 4 Dame Lane and Republic of Loose & Gypsies On The Autoban at The Village.

So far it looks like I'm off to The Village. I haven't seen ROL live since 2010/11 I don't think. Should be good! :D

Will the band playing Whealns be leaked? Or is it a case of turning up and finding out you've drawn the short straw and got The Script

    Are tickets all sold out?

Yeah every venue appears to be sold out now.

    @scudzilla

The Script really are the short straw. I would take any of The manics, Kodaline, James Vincent McMorrow or Biffy for a great night. :)

Have 4 Arthur's Day tickets for Whelans would trade for 1 All Ireland Football Final Ticket if anyone likes music more than the Dubs!

tickets arrived this morning, says 5 bands from 6.30pm and that ya have to be in the venue by 6.30?? Surely they can't not let ya in if ya turn up late?

i think its usually a big name on first for the tellybox and after that they tend to let people in with/without tickets so the 6:30 thing is a guarantee for ticket holders.
