Coffee shops/pubs near St. Vincent's?

Going to be spending some time waiting out in St. Vincent's private hospital on the Merrion Road tomorrow. Anyone know of any decent coffee shops/pubs nearby that I could do some work in while I wait.

Horseshoe house directly accross the road is grand, or Merrion Inn is prob a little 'nicer'.
Not sure of wi-fi capabilities in either.
Maybe have a look at yelp.ie or publin.ie to suss

It's being rebuilt but is not open yet.

Haven't heard of Horseshoe house. Maybe you mean Horseshow house in Ballsbridge, but that's 25 min walk away?

Not too much in the area really...Coffee shop in the Merrion Centre (red brick building with a Tesco). And Bianconis a short walk away:

Didn't know/forgot about merrion inn burning down. Pretty sure that's where i've snuck off to for lunch and a pint before while visiting in Vincent's.

Looks like you probably are stuck to the Merrion Centre these days then.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but might be useful to other people or for future visits. There is a place called Bianconis across Merrion road. it's nice. used lunch there.
