I was talking to a specialist Eircom guy on Friday, as i lodged a formal complaint against and previous install guy....so Eircom sent a higher up to sort it out.

Base on what he said there are very few fibre cabs actually live, by live i mean switched on and people are getting 70mb. Tis down to LCC and planning permission, most of the cabs in and around the city centre have the fibre laid and are connected up, but not switched on.

He said its taking ages for the corpo to give planning permission per cab, could very well be December by the time the main business district of the city is switched on, and they applied to install two new cabs and were refused PP.

    Feckin joke!.....
