Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi.

I've never booked a hire car before in my life, its all a bit confusing to me tbh.

Anyone recommend or know of a reputable car hire place, we'd be after a small economic 5 door with 2 x baby seats (10 month old and a 3 year old)

Travelling from Luton to Southampton for a few days (the flights from Dublin to Southampton are stupid money tbh)

    Sept 7-9

    All help appreciated.

Just back from Luton. Rented with avis, ford focus for 3 days £75. Have a look at carhire3000 and travelsupermarket for the best prices. Don't know anything about baby seats so can't help you there. Also the car rental facility is about 5 mins from the airport. When you walk out of the airport go to the bus stop with the sign 1A. theres a shuttle to the rental facility from there which is free and runs every 10-15 mins. From memory avis, budget, national, europcar and hertz were all located there in the same compound. Also don't buy the car hire companies zero excess insurance. It's about £15 per day extra. You can get it for €3 per day from carhireexcess.ie. are you using a credit or debit card?

Also bring your own sat nav or borrow one. They charge crazy prices to hire them.
