Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Use of headed notepaper

Can a solicitor who is employed in a firm of solicitors create his 'own' headed notepaper for use in respect of personal matters only (ie. not in respect of work engaged on behalf of clients)?

I looked at the solicitors conduct regs and the lawsociety guidelines but no obvious answer appears.

It 'feels' wrong but I can't find a specific reason why it would be illegal/improper practice. The only other angle is insurance but if it is only used for personal matters, can anyone sue you?

    Thoughts welcome!

If the headed paper gave the impression that the solicitor was practicing on her own account, there would be difficulties. The Law Society take the matter seriously when solicitors hold themselves out to be something that they are not.

Why would a solicitor wish to use headed notepaper on personal matters?
