    Hi all,

New to the forum so first post. 10 days into first brew (Muntons IPA) and plan to bottle tomorrow night. Bought bottles from one of the home brew supply shops - do I need to scrub them or would be ok to stick in the dishwasher and sterilise before use?

    Defo no need to scrub.
30ml thin bleach and 30 white viniger in 20l tap water. Fill all bottles and leave 5mins and empty (no need for rinse) and bottle.

when done drinking future batches flush with tap water to get rid of yeast cake etc and repeat bleach/viniger solution just before bottling next batch

^^^^ Do NOT mix the bleach and vinegar together, you will end up gassing yourself. Just add one to the water, mix well, then add the other and mix well. This gives you a no-rinse chlorine solution.

Thanks for the advice. All bottled up tonight. Now for the waiting game.
