Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stoke v Sunderland, West Brom v Hull is about level of games like this. Actually that's probably being unkind. No idea what Danny Welbeck is for.

If Scotland had a decent forward who could hold the ball it would make it more interesting.

England can't defend for toffee - Cahill is just lost at this level.

The Scottish defense reminds me of Shels in the dark days, part 2

Who needs Rooney when you've got Danny Welbeck?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

I don't get England. We've stunk out every tournament we've played in since 2004 with dull, negative football, yet every friendly is end-to-end and goals a plenty.

Rickie Lambert and Charlie Mulgrew coming on at the same time. One player I used to love (and hate because of how bloody good he always was) watching play against Southend and one who I used to love watching play for Southend.

Delighted for Rickie Lambert! Worked his way through the leagues, finally gets a shot at the Premier League at 30 and then scores on his England debut at 31. Great stuff!

    Agreed. Delighted for Lambert.

England probably deserved the win, but can't help but feel they made it a lot tougher than they had to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

    Never in doubt.

Delighted for Rickie. He's been knocking them in for us the last 4 seasons. I just hope he gets more of a chance with England than Le Tiss did.

Talking about the lack of quality young players on 5live at the moment.

Some lad on now - "What about John Joe Shelvey...and Peter Crouch". Hilarious. :D

Strachan has worked miracles for that Scotland team.
