Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Barry on loan to Everton, yeah I know it's Everton news, but it's deadline day! Fellani has to go to to United, otherwise there'll be a riot in Carrington tonight.

Lukaku almost confirmed to Everton. Can't understand taking Moses and not being in for him.

Apparently these are the lads who were claiming to represent Utd at the Herrera deal.

I suspect Chelsea would not loan or sell Lukaku to Liverpool but are willing to help out Everton. Quite why Jose is binning such a player is more curious.

Really cant understand why Chelsea are selling Mata. He was their best player last season by a long way

Yep, there's no way Chelsea would have loaned Lukaku to a rival.

Screams out Mourinho playing politics with Abramovic, there's no other logical reason with the Mata stories too.

Chelsea weren't to loan a player like Lukaku out just so he can spend most of his time on our bench. It would be a waste of his development.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

Why would Lukaku want to come to Liverpool?

He doesn't want to sit on the bench and its all he would do with us. Especially if he wants to go to the World Cup.

He'll get game time at Everton/West Brom that he needs.

Ozil confirmed for Arsenal I don't know, major marquee signing and all that but I'd prefer our signings. You just never know splashing all your cash on 1 player like Ozil or Bale, that's why I was wary of paying £25-30 Million on Mk or Willian, no point splashing your budget on one player, especially in our position with a good few areas to be addressed.

    I'd trade:

    Moses
    Sakho
    Ilori
    Alberto
    Aspas

    For Ozil.

**** it, I'd have been happy to keep Reina and have Carra delay his retirement for a year to get Ozil. Ozil is in the Suarez shelf.

In my opinion Ozil is class I would not include Sakho or Mignolet there.

I would have been delighted with Mignolet, Sakho, Def Midfield and Ozil but that might mean our squad a little light.

except ozil is not a keeper, a defender and a striker that we also needed. we didnt need ozil we did need the player we got

I'd imagine Chelsea would be reluctant to give him to us for two reasons:

    1) we should be a closer rival than Everton
    2) we have Sturridge and Suarez who would be both ahead of him at Liverpool and could potentially stunt his progress.

There is a world of difference between announcing three players who have been pursued since God knows when (Ilori goes back months, Sakho since July at least, Moses was probably underlined in Rodgers book since Jose got back) and scrabbling about on the final day.

I do admire your ability to use nonsense to back up your arguments.

    It's completely unnecessary like.

Seeing Barry move to Everton on loan. Would have loved him here tbh, but I think being a nailed down regular and not fighting it out with Lucas makes it an easy decision for him to head to Everton anyway.

DM and backup keeper is all we really need right now. Would have liked a better LW prospect than Moses, but he's a good player and I'm happy enough with him really.

How do you spend 27.5m Pounds on Fellaini and not be in for Ozil?

Thats some shocking business by United imho.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

That's a good transfer window I have to say. Pity it wasn't done earlier, we wouldn't have fretted about Suarez so much then.

The whole team at LFC deserves to get locked tonight.

Even worse when you consider Fellaini had a buy out clause of £23.5m up until July 31st.

We did ok, nothing to get that excited over. In fact, I would happily have given up Alberto, Moses and Ilroi if we could have just signed one proven left-winger/attacking midfielder.

    Nice :)

Fellaini to United, awful price, panic buy. Barry and McCarthy both in though and alongside Lukaku thats pretty good business for Everton.
Happy with what we have gotten from this week and this window. Cover, youth and of course we kept Suarez which is the most important thing.

Will be interesting how Brendan uses the new recruits!

Not sure how Fellani is a panic buy. Quality player.
