Just on Lucas today.

Big change to last season in that he can now press the ball and push out of that deep slot and move up the pitch on occasion. Gerrard has the understanding now to drop deep and cover, and it works well.

Seemed to really limit his game when he was pushed on the back foot a lot, and not allowed press forward, at times last season. Some of that may be he wasn't mobile to get around the pitch and trusted to recover if his pressing was bypassed.

Seems to have the pace and accuracy back into his forward ball again. Hopefully he can get about to dictating out tempo as he was doing prior his injury two years ago.
