Replacement of Maestro to Visa Debit on BOI cards issued by Northern Ireland branches

    Hi,

    I reside in GB (Wales), having had a mortgage with BOI UK for 5 years, I opted to move my current account to BOI UK after issues with my previous bank. Out of interest, I was wondering whether BOI will replace Maestro with Visa Debit in Northern Ireland as they have with Laser in the Republic?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    We completed an upgrade of Switch cards to Maestro cards a couple of years ago. We're not aware of any plans to upgrade Maestro to Visa Debit.
