Just thought Id let ya's know that I updated to newest firefox a few days ago and I noticed boards doesnt work so well on it anymore. The background/colouring etc is all gone. I thought maybe boards was having an issue and then this morning I noticied a small box which tells me that boards website has content that isnt secure so its all blocked. You have to unblock the content every time you open a new boards thread. This is NOT caused by an add-on. This is definitely caused by the new firefox. I'll probably just go back to IE.... but thought Id let you's know, theres probably a few other people out there wondering whats wrong.

Boards runs on a http link (not https), so you shouldn't get those security warnings (AFAIK).

What is the URL in your location bar?

This is the exact problem here. And pictures of the procedure you have to go through to fix it.

I just type 'boards' into google like I always have done and then let it take me here. I dont type any type any https or www. stuff so just whatever google and firefox are up to I suppose?

Anyways. Just letting you know. Its not an issue for me, only just saying it incase the mods want to fix it up. Id say Im not the only person having that issue.

The reason you're having this issue is that Firefox now blocks mixed mode content (secure and not secure on the same page) by default. It only displays the secure/HTTPS content. Boards.ie is not intended to be browsed via HTTPS, the SSL part of the site is only supposed to be used for verification when logging in. It still works fine via standard HTTP.
