Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Horizon LAN ports not working

My LAN ports don't seem to be functioning - I direct connected up a WDTV via ethernet cable from Horizon to WDTV, but WDTV can't see this. Same with Google TV box.

I called UPC broadband support & they said that they could see that the Installation (from their side) was still open, & that when it was complete the LAN ports would be active.

Has anyone else heard this ? Sounds strange - one would think the LAN ports linked to the router in Horizon would work straightaway ?

Have you tried more than one cable? Can you try connecting a laptop? Disable the wi-fi on the laptop to make sure it's the LAN port you're using to access the internet.

Have you checked the IP setup on the WDTV? The Horizon box uses a different subnet to most other home devices. By that I mean, Horizon uses addresses like 192.168.192.x, most devices use 192.168.1.x. If the WDTV is setup to use DHCP it's probably ok, but if it's setup manually, it'll need to be changed to the new subnet.

Its now seeing the WDTV. Don't know how that happened but its one step fwd.

However, unlike other 'My Devices' which it can see listed on the Network, when I click the WDTV Livehub option under My Devices, Music, Video & Pictures are listed to the right, but it wont let me scroll up/down & click to choose eg video - it just freezes - all I can do is go Back.

    Ideas welcome.
