Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gonna be a great finish to this game

Real are going to throw the kitchen sink at Valencia.....and that will leave gaps at the back.

Lucky to get away without a booking for retaliation.

Keita has been outstanding for Valencia.

The keeper has been saving everything Ronaldo has thrown at him

Its possible for all 3 teams to finish on 91 points.

With the head to heads being comparable the final game would be basically a triple threat match without real being in it.

Di Maria has reverted back to the last 3 years version of himself. Poor tonight.

Real are giving away the ball so needlessly at times

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,056 ✭✭✭Too Tough To Die

How dare he. It's Ronaldo's job to shoot.

Never gets much change from his international teammate. Perreira's a real terrier.

Keita has been outstanding for Valencia.

    Excellent player, under-rated at Barca.

Some of amount of choking in Madrid today.

What a great great game. Cracking goal from Ronaldo. Incredible effort from Valencia.

Real didn't get the win but Ronaldo's goal could still prove vital.

    Atletico just need 4 points?

    Atletico just need 4 points?

Think so. That equaliser made no difference to them I don't think but screws Barca.

    Yup.

Expect an aircraft carrier to be parked at the Nou Camp, never mind a bus.

Real have a difficult trip to Valladolid ahead on Wed.

Barca lost there a few weeks back and Valladolid need the points to stay up.

Real will have to play a lot better than today.

Atleti are in control but Ronaldos goal now makes Barca needing a slip up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

They still need a bit to go in their favour but that goal was vital for Real, if they lost they were out of the running really.

It was an absolutely fabulous goal alright. Greatness incarnate.

I was very impressed with Valencia tonight ,they looked a really good team .
Held onto the ball well ,had a good shape and got men forward and back when needed.

Shaping up to be a great week of football .
Real could come a cropper on Wednesday ,Vallodolid have only lost 3 home games all season .

Seen this earlier and this seems a good time to post it, all 250 of Ronaldo's Real Madrid goals(before tonights obviously). Probably every type of goal possible in there. Worth a watch if you've 17 minutes spare!

Jonathan Pearce on the BBC tonight: "The PL's the only league where a team with nothing to play for beats a title challenger." Eh?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

Gary Neville described you as a manager with little experience. It's pretty clear that pundits just don't bother their arses in doing any research.

Jonathan Pearce on the BBC tonight: "The PL's the only league where a team with nothing to play for beats a title challenger." Eh?

Andy Gray was at this on bein sports a couple of weeks ago. The previous night Barcelona had lost to Granada.

Jonathan Pearce on the BBC tonight: "The PL's the only league where a team with nothing to play for beats a title challenger." Eh?

Martin Tyler was spouting the same nonsense on Sky last night .Quinny was at it on Sunday ,best league in the world ,wouldnt see this anywhere else ,blah blah blah.

Its becoming quite irritating now ,Sky seem to be going out of their way to keep mentioning the best league in the world .
The term "Barclays Premier League" is trotted out repeatedly during each match ,why do they not just say "this league" or the league ,why the need for the mouthful,I sometimes think some managers are being paid to mention Barclays .

I pay my sub ,I shouldnt have to listen to propaganda .
Best league in the world it is certainly not .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,259 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

In fairness, on the Spanish version of Sky, they introduce every game with "welcome to the best league in the world".

So with Barca facing Atleti on the last day of the season I wonder will there be a few players rested if they are mathematically out of the race and Real win their next two games?

I can't see Barca going for a win or a draw if it means handing the title to Real to be honest.

This article basically addresses all of the scenarios and subplots, of which there are many.
