This thread last year was something special.

Now that I'm not taking part in this silliness myself this year, I shall enjoy the entertainment.

So what's the story with the offers, Do they come in the post or do they show on our CAO profiles?
They do come in the post but if you get an offer in Round 1, you should be able to see and accept it online before the letter arrives.

There's probably no point in saying this, but speculating about points is pretty redundant at this stage. Watch a movie or chat with people on here, people are just going to get overly worked up if you start debating whether whatever Irish Times article said that X was going to go up or down.

    Just a suggestion :P

    Guys is anyone hoping to
Do any healthcare courses such as occupational therapy/speech and
Language therapy/radiation therapy? do you think the points will rise dramatically like they did last year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 314 ✭✭Doris300

Is everyone staying up all night?

I'm nervous, got 10 points more than the points my course was last year but it'll probably rise more :(

I believe the actual college sends you out details via post

    Depends on the college.

With TCD, you hear nothing for a day or two then get an email with instructions to login to the portal and register and information on Fresher's Week and orientation.

Thank god for this thread! I'm beyond nervous! :/
Anywho I'm hoping for food science in either Sligo or Tralee!

So nervous and I wouldn't mind but I have enough points for the courses I've applied for and meet all the requirements but I'm convinced that The points will have rocketed! :/

Lucky you, I'm anxious enough. I heard that its down 17% in applicants but I highly doubt points will drop. 5 max or they will remain static.

You should be fine *nods* I cant see it ever really going much further tbh, the when the next tech bubble bursts it'll plummet again :P

When I did my leaving it was in the mid 300's I think?

Hoping to do Arts in UCD too, because screw spending time learning how another college works!
