Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm really surprised there has been no backlash to this.

I thought LOI hated new fans coming to matches and would do their utmost to make them feel unwelcome.

Enjoy it, hopefully Athlone will be in the Premier Division next year, grand trip from Shligo.

How great would it be if Athlone and Longford(or myaybe Waterford Utd.) got to the Premier division next season?(taking no chances :))
    Open up that regional spread.

@Old youth- Wexford Youths next season ;)

I'm from Offaly, and for the first time on the 30th I'm going to head over to Athlone Town and watch them play Wexford Youth. It'll be the first game of it's type I'll have gone to in ten years, and that's simply a regional thing. I couldn't justify traveling to Dublin to watch games of a team I feel no connection to. Athlone though is less than half an hour for me, so I'm gonna head down with the young lad and watch a game. Who knows. I might even like it.

Fair play to you. I follow Bohs and was in college in Athlone for four years but came home at weekends to follow Bohs (and I suppose see the family/missus and stuff too :pac:) I always keep an eye on Athlone's results each weekend. I only got to take in one game, Athlone v Finn Harps on a Tuesday night. Can't have been more than 150 people there. It's a nice, modern, comfortable stand and with the form Athlone are in there should be a good crowd and atmosphere.

On a similiar note, we brought a mate of ours to his first LOI match (Bohs/Rovers) last Friday. He'd always hear us waffling about Bohs and finally decide to see what all the fuss was about. Took him a while to get in to it I think (it's a slightly different experience than Irish rugby and Dublin GAA), but he enjoyed the whole matchday experience in the end and seemed blown away by the atmosphere there.

Enjoy it and post here to let us know how you got on...

How great would it be to just have a 16/18 team division!

To replace relagation the team that finishes bottom has to appear at the league winners stadium and run from one side of the pitch to the other while the league winning fans shoot them with paintballs.

If they f**ked off with their registration fees, you'd get loads of interest and clubs joining the First Division.
