HDMI connection issue

OK I connected my laptop to the only HDMI socket on my SANYO TV, it worked straight off. The sky box is now connected through that socket so when I want to connect the laptop I disconnect sky, problem is now the TV seems to be recognising the laptop signal as DVI, and not showing anything at all, but Sky is fine once…

I've done the usual troubleshooting such as swapping cables rebooting everything and have tried the laptop with the same cable to a different tv with no problems at all.

Anyone got any suggestions?
