Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Ben Arfa can't do it all by himself.

Some of the dumbest long ball/crossfield passes being played by Newcastle.

And Debuchy has continued where he left off last season.

    Tiote: Couldn't. Be. Arsed.

Hard to believe he's the player who used to spend his game kicking lumps out of and harassing every player on the pitch a season or two ago.

Yeah Ben Arfa looks a cut above the rest of them. Cisse was brushed off the ball way too easy in the build up to the second goal.

    Really enjoying watching City here,

How quick from a position where Cisse had the ball did they score that goal, very impressive from the players involved.

Andre Marriner has been Newcastle's best player so far.

Navas shows his Spanish side

Starting to think that Debuchy's child hood idol was William Prunier.

I think it is safe to say that City are considerably stronger than last season, Fernandinho and Navas have slotted in very nicely and their pressing high up the pitch is impressive. Newcastle have been atrocious though.

Not sure if we look great, or Newcastle look shockingly awful, possibly both. I'm enjoying it though. Fernandinho, Navas, Zab and Dzeko having good games. Newcastle will get someone sent off soon if they don't cop on.

Maybe some Newcastle fans could tell me what exactly Guttierez is supposed to be good at. Never been impressed by him.

So will city.. two yellow cards in within 2 or 3 minutes

A booking could have sufficed there but Newcastle have already got away with two penalties.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

such a stupid thing to do.

    nightmare for newcastle.

    Feel for their fans.

What an idiot, literally 30 seconds from blagging his way out of a penalty shout.

    that was stupid from tayler

Pardieu to be sacked before the year is out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

On this form, Newcastle already look like they're going to be in a relegation fight.

What law do you book him under? A ref invariably gives a red when there's any sort of elbow, punch or whatever around a player's head.

Doesn't he have an eight year contract?

No, straight red for me. He knew exactly what he was doing when swinging his arm there.

    Absolutely stupid. Newcastle look awful.

I flipping hate those Paddy Power ads.

I know I'm only helping them by talking about them. :(

Rolling 1 year contract for 8 years. Seems like someone asks that question at least once a week.

Doesn't he have an eight year contract?

It has a clause only entitling him to one years pay if sacked, if memory serves

Pardew really has to be a massive favour for first managerial casualty, they've been really awful.

Very impressive stuff from City. Their pressing and compactness is stifling! Newcastle though have shot themselves in the foot! Stupidest sending off I've seen in a while and was that the same guy who got out jail with a penalty shout?

The rolling one year contract is about as believable as him having to paid off for his full 8 years.

Shocking first half performance. Not one player on that team could be arsed by the looks of it apart from maybe Jonas who always gives it all.

City should probably be 5 up and we're lucky they are not cos it will be at least that in the second half.

Taylor is just an idiot, no idea what he is thinking and always capable of doing something stupid like that in a game.

Morale seriously low with the whole Cabaye thing I reckon, floodgates about to open, enjoy City..............

I think he's good, accent is just very strong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

If they could send Carra to BBC elocution lessons it'd be fantastic. He speaks a lot of sense IMO, but I can't really catch what he's saying about half the time.

Obviously I'm very happy with City's performance first half, Newcastle's shortcomings aside we've played quite well. But I really wish Dzeko had gotten his goal already.

Feel sorry for Newcastle fans, this is dreadful from them.

Carragher is quite good at the analysis aswell. His accent is abit jarring and high pitch when he's worked up about certain points, but still its good to see good analysts and less of the Jamie Redknapp types bleating on about literally top top players
