.....so what band are you in? :D
Not in any band. Just love to listen to live music.
I thought it could become a constructive criticism kind of thread, that people could let their thoughts be known ( without being malicious) about the different bands in the city and county.
It could and should encourage bands to become even better.
Maybe the thread name is putting people off.
Maybe people would be too shy to offer any criticism.!

Solar Taxi are top Class, Skunk always put on a good show.
Missed them both last night in Shortts!

Don't think Percolator have been mentioned yet. A great band, think My Bloody Valentine, meets Sonic Youth with a bit of Yo La Tengo/Stereolab thrown in!

    Fighting Spiders are good too

I think all Waterford Bands are great. They work hard at their craft and I salute them.

Thata a very broad statement to make.
A few bands around never bother to practice or learn any new songs, in my opinion.

Aye, it is. But I don't think I've ever seen a live band in Waterford that sucked. Granted, they haven't all been to my taste but you can tell they put the work in. Even the Hipster bands- not even slightly my cuppa tea- but they do work.

The new O Emperor album is really tight. It can be streamed from their website http://www.oemperor.com/index.html and as far as I know they're playing down in Waterford before the year is out.

Propeller Palms have a post in their Facebook saying they have big news coming, would be nice to see another band break out of the city

He's as serious as they come, he's actually threatened people that have taken the piss out of him.

Waterford's Kodakid are featured on the Guardian's music blog this week:

    http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/oct/30/discover-five-brand-new-acts-and-tell-us-what-you-think-of-them

Whichever band gets the most recommendations will be interviewed next week. Please lend them your support!
