One of the Waterford posters mentioned earlier that their phone was in transit -I guess this van will call to the Carlow & Kilkenny motels on the way down.

    Still waiting here in Cork.

Yep, 3 in transit, times.....20:15, 20:25, 20:35. I wonder if its some sort of race like a cycling time trial where they all set off at 10 minute intervals. The lad who went off at 20:35 will be doing well to pull in the lead Nexus

Parcel Motel really need to provide GPS tracking so we can track the exciting finale of this Nexi marathon

What exactly does the status "in transit" mean. Does it mean that it has left there Belfast depot or that it has just left their Dublin depot?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,465 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

Carphone Warehouse and Parcel Motel is the way to go! So easy! I tried driving to Newry, but they were out of stock.
I used the instructions from here: http://nexus5ireland.appspot.com . really straightforward!

And it's cheaper than the actual play Store!
I have no idea how CPW does it.
But they only have a 16gb which is no good

CPW only have 16GB. I have a galaxy nexus with 16GB and no free space and with no ability to expand the 16GB isn't an option. I know I'm desperate but I needs something i can make more use of.
    Thanks

I put my actual billing address as the billing address, with BT36 etc postcode afterwards. Somehow worked.

If it's any consolation ;), I can't use the phone feature of it yet - don't have a microsim

Anybody find an alternative website that sells the 32gb black? For a reasonable price

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,829 ✭✭✭lil_lisa

Wow, I'm impressed. Parcel Motel has delivered already? I ordered mine at 18:23 (Irish time) last Thursday. I chose the fastest delivery, I'm living in California and mine is due to arrive tomorrow!

Supposed to be very easy to cut standard sim to micro Sim.

Just after getting the purchase to go through like that. last time it said that shipping and billing address needs to be the same. So I set up the credit card again in the wallet with my own address and the UK postcode at the end. Then went and purchased again and it went through. My only concern now is the phone number on the shipping address. I have it as +44 1890 241717. Sure I'll find out soon enough. then i can try again i suppose. I really had my hopes up that it would go through but I'm going to stay persistent.

    Thanks for the reply

Just got this email back straight away.

We were unable to verify the account information for your recent purchase with Google Wallet. As a result, your account has been temporarily suspended and your recent order has been cancelled:

Just realised my bank account is now suspended after ringing this morning and telling them to let the purchase go through. AAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

after an initial bit of irritation, this eventually worked out crazily nicely. I tried making the order with my regular gmail account, but no matter what changes I made, I was still linked to Ireland.

so then I went ahead and created a new account, while proxying to the UK, all was good until checkout. I couldn't use my credit card (even using the PM postcode), I think because I've already made purchases on Google Play with that card, but I was able to attach my Visa debit card with the PM postcode to it.

purchase went through seemingly fine, but when it happened, they said I'd get an email near immediately afterwards to confirm everything, which I've still not gotten.

I made the purchase Friday afternoon, got an email Saturday saying it'd dispatched, delivered to Belfast this morning and text at 9.55 saying it was in the PM 5 minutes away from my place and now I've got it here and away from the shiny slidiness of the N4. the nexus is dead, long live the nexus!
