Camera is okay, but not great. Battery is the same, the 5.0 update has made mine a good bit better, but still not amazing.

When are they rolling out 5?

Still one of the best on the market, especially for the price.

For the money its well worth it.

so it would be a nice performance jump from my galaxy s3 yeah?

Early November I believe, around the 3rd.

Absolutely yes. Touchwiz is very slow and laggy compared to on a Nexus device.

    Hi there,

This isn't related to the Nexus 5 itself but I need help and I'd hope someone could help me.

Updated my Nexus 7 to the final Developer Preview of Lollipop and now one of the apps for my school book no longer works, it says it isn't compatible and I can't download it.

I am wondering could some kind person download the app and use another app to extract the .apk, upload it and share it with me?

    Desperate here.

Thanks in advance and apologies to the mods.

Edit: Forgot to include a link!

is this still a decent phone? was waiting for n6 but its too much

I got mine 2 weeks ago & I love it. I don't really understand the battery issue. I find the battery life to be fine. The camera is perfectly adequate. There is something special about this phone. I plan to keep mine for 2 or 3 years.

i dont see a battery issue either. i unplug it at 5 in the morning, and when i connect it to the charger its around 10 to 11 nights. and i do quite a bit of gaming with it during the day (family guy, disco zoo, neo mushroom) and 9gag. nights when i connect it to the charger the battery is anywhere between 15% and 0-1%, depending on how much i played or surfed on 9gag, reddit etc.

    (I can't post links yet).

    Try

    onyxbits . de / raccoon

which is an unofficial desktop Play Store client. Probably worth using a disposable Google account just in case.

I actually got it and it works grand.

    Thanks though.

Just a quick heads up for Nexus 5 users.

It appears that some people are getting offered the Gravity film for free on their Nexus 5.

Open the Play Movies app and it should pop up!

    Nexus 5 only though... grrr.

Aw where's my gravity movie :(.

On another note does anyone know of a good battery case for Nexus 5?

No, no, no, no, no! I accidentally clicked 'No Thanks' when trying to get Gravity. Is there any way for me to still get it?

Try clearing the app data and logging back in to see if it offers it again.

Had to reset it twice but it worked. Thanks!

    You're all very welcome!

I've a Nexus 7/Moto G so I can't get the offer but it's still good to share with those who can :)

It maybe a bit of hassle, but if you used a virtual Nexus 5 in Eclipse and logged in with your account, you should see the offer then.

Of course, that involves getting Eclipse from android.com setting up the emulator for a Nexus 5 and then praying that it works, so may not be that practical :)

    Expansys have them.

Jesus don't go near expansys, if you want to keep your sanity. Still trying to organise an RMA with them.
