Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just curious how many people are trying to sell at the moment, and how you're finding the market? Have ended up cycling to work most of the days I'd usually motorbike in recently, so have the bike up for sale now but no real bites.

Best time to sell a motorbike, start of summer.

Best time to sell a 4 x 4, start of Winter.

Just put my Varadero up yesterday on Done Deal and Adverts. Nothing heard yet..... though it's a terrible time to sell probably..... Don't really wanna keep it til next year :/ But at least I already have my upgrade :D

I just put a Vespa up yesterday on Adverts.ie, no interest yet. Back to school time probably doesn't do the market any favours though students might be tempeted to buy a bike for commuting to college. From now on is a good time for selling winter projects I reckon...

It's got the restriction cert, so a handy learner bike. May be helpful.

Sold one in March. Perfect time of year. Put it up for a good price. Gone within 24 hours.

Traded mine in a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't have been bothered with all the time wasters and scamers, looks like it may have been a better idea than I'd though with the lack of buyers posted so far.

Sold my FZ6 mid summer aswell, and it was priced higher up the market. It depends what type of bike it is some do sell a hell of alot quicker then others. Leave it up and if no interest at all lower the price a tad.

Depends on the bike. Commuter bikes, popular bikes (bandit 600s), japanese 600's and litre sports bikes can move. But something a bit different you could be waiting a while. big nakeds, big customs could take a while, even at a good price.

Yeah and with the new laws it has made it difficult aswell. Nobody wants 250cc bikes now with the limit gone up to 300cc.

Being a recession & all there are not that many buyers out there with hard cash & everyone's looking for a bargain.

I took a major hit on a custom chopped Harley, eventually let her go for €7K after 12+ months on the market.

Nice bike but not everyones cup of tea...that would need a specific buyer alright.

I have my GSXR1000 K6 advertised a few weeks now and apart from one call within the first hour nothing but scammers up until yesterday. I have 3 lads coming to view it tomorrow, friday and sunday.

Had to knock a bit off the price but am not giving it away as i'm not stuck to sell.

....met a guy with fab '08 Triumph Street Triple for sale last night - he was wondering the same thing: would it sell.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
