    Hi
We need to replace the TV in work. It's wall mounted in an echoey canteen so needs good sound. The problem with these new super thin Tvs seems to be that there is no space for a decent speaker. Can you recommend a Tv around 40" or so. It waould also need Saorview.

    Cheers
    Dar

    Hi Dar,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Unfortunately it's hard these days to get a TV with good sound as they're all getting so thin.

One of the slightly better screens would be the Panasonic TXP 42 X60 currently sitting at £329.95.  Check the link below for more info:

It's also Saorview approved so ticks that box also.

At the moment this screen is a in-store only purchase so would need to be collected in Belfast.

Let me know what you think.

    Cheers Chris for the reply

That TV looks quite good but I'm not sure"slightly better" will be good enough.
What about a sound bar and TV where the bar can attach to the TV and not need a separate wall mounting?

    Again, thanks for the help

    Dar,

I'm not familiar with any bars that connect directly to the TV without independent wall mounting - but I'd say that a decent sound bar is probably the answer to your problem okay - some of the newer bars really are excellent and available at reasonable money!

However if you want something that will not be obtrusive and is easy to wallmount I'd recommend the Q Acoustics Q TV - this is a subframe that mounts behind the TV and includes a flat subwoofer and of course stereo speakers - have a look here: http://www.qacoustics.co.uk/q-tv-speakers-soundbar.htm

The Q TV2 is £279.95 and of course it does sound excellent!

    Keep us posted,
