We have UPC cable (not HD) broadband and phone and a Sky guy came to the door to suggest we switch the TV part over for 27€ pm for the basic package, equipment and installation free (assuming we sign for movies/sport and promptly cancel  ) .

We've had UPC digital etc for years so shouldn't be tied into anything i'd assume, but will they unbundle the TV without any issues? and any disadvantages to switching?

Compare what channels lose/gain - under RoI EPG (standard) column http://www.channelwiki.org/wiki/List_of_channels_on_Sky_(UK_%26_Ireland)

    Entertainment Pack - €27
    Entertainment Extra+ Pack - €35

I was with UPC and the same thing happened. A guy came to the door and offered me a great deal. He even gave me a letter to send to UPC so cancel my account because I was still in contract and this way he was able to get me out of it. Everything went grand with the switch over until I started getting massive bills. When I asked Sky about them they couldn't tell me what all the different charges were for. They added up to 150 euro on top of the monthly subscription. I refused to pay it on the grounds that they couldn't explain to me what the charges were for. They eventually just cut me off and I was left with no broadband and no tv. Now I am back with eircom for my broadband and have sorview for my tv.
