€500K FOR CLARE SOCIAL HOUSING...BUT

I cant be the only one who finds this strange! Clare Co. Council will be givin €500K towards social housing in Clare and instead of fixing up the approx 57 houses that they already own that are empty, they will buy 6 houses for people on the waiting list.

Sounds a bit bizzare but where are you getting the information about the 57houses that need fixing? I didn't see that in the article you linked to.

Sorry, its not in the article about the amount of empty houses. I cant remember where I saw it, but I'm fairly sure its around that number.

This states that 42 houses will be returned to use.Date issued: 30/07/13

That article was 2 weeks before the one I linked to in the OP. So which is it? 6 new houses or 42 to be fixed up?

If you read the links its a bit clearer. They seem to have been allocated 2 lots of money. 1 lot will buy 6 houses and the other lot will get 42 houses ready to let.
