    Hello,

Can someone build more houses in Dublin?

And can Agencies stop recommending landlords to set the rents so high?

The houses that are available, usually fall into one of the following categories:

    a) Dirty, old and crazy expensive
    b) Old, broken and crazy expensive
    c) It´s not a house but still crazy expensive
    d) Nice but crazy expensive
    e) Nice but in the middle of nowhere

Dublin needs more and better houses for renting.

    Thanks

Builders will only build houses if they can make money. Friend of my dads has started building again for the first time in 5 years. Avoiding Nama and not having too much debt helped I suppose.

Landlords only rent at what the markets pay.
If someone is willing to pay 500 for a, b or c, then why would the landlord only take 300.
The market and to a lesser extent the rent allowance scheme set the price of rents in this country.
