herself is mad to attend a medieval banquet and this stuff is right up her street but is there anywhere in Ireland where they do that? I was at one years ago in Barcelona in an amazing castle setting, (jousting tournament and the works) was unreal. Would love if they did something similar here

Been to Bunratty a few times but there's no fightin' just a lot of singing and dancing :( The folk park is good though.

Yes it is, provided there is some funding. We are not talking tens of thousands, but we do need some. We carried it this year, we could not continue to do this - though in fairness the audience was generous and enthusiastic, and feedback was excellent. There is massive scope for it to develop - it is such a good storyline!

This year's baby-steps attempt to create a Wedding Supper - which could in future turn into a banquet once people come on board - was really not well supported. It needs the vision and enthusiasm of the ordinary people of the town to support this kind of event, without it Waterford will continue to be also-rans.

we did donate at the end and we had planned on following to revolutions after but then realised it wasn't on til 5.30 which was too late for us and we would have had to spend an hour and half wandering around before getting a feed. (we were already starving) Thought it was direct to the supper afterward and were a little disappointed that we couldn't go.

That's a pity, and we could see it might be a problem, but the people who did the show had to clear the entire area in an hour and then get to Rev in costume! We may be able to do more efficient organisation another time! :-)
