Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Maybe the Rovers fans will be able to help with this one?

    Sky TV had a show on maybe 5 yrs ago when there was, iirc, 2 or 3 Irish guys down to the final. One of them I think was on the books of a lower LoI club, but I was chatting to him at the Rovers v Juve Euro game a few seasons back, and he was kitted out in the tracksuit and said he was signed to them now.

    Can't remember his name, big tall fella, think he was central midfielder. Looked a decent prospect, anyone know whatever happened to him?

    There's a Craig Walsh playing for UCD. That could be him.

    The other Irish finalist Connor Smith is at Watford.

    The winner Ben Greenhalgh is at Inverness.

    Yeah Craig Walsh came third in it as far as I remember and is with UCD. Didn't look anything special at the start of the season but he's really come into some great form in the last month or two. It'll take a great goal to beat his against Shels for Goal of the Season.

    Ah right , the winner looked like a Ronaldo-type character?

    At Inverness, eh? At least they are all playing football at some level.

    Is that the programme where they went to Inter Milan for a time?

    The winner was released by Inter and ended up in playing non-league in England and was signed by Inverness this year.

    Yeah Craig Walsh has been in the League Of Ireland for the last while. He was with Longford Town before joining UCD.

    The other Irish fella who nearly won football's next star was Connor Smith, he is still over in England with Watford as far as I know.
