Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival, bus running from the Quay every hour as far as i know. Even if Bluegrass isn't your thing, its this a good craic.

A firework display Sunday the 25th at 9.30pm in Tramore. It always attracts a big crowd.

    Ardmore is fantastic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardmore,_County_Waterford
cliffhouse hotel is michelin star if you;re in to your food

There's loads of nice walk etc. but if you're here for just the weekend I'd say those ones would be a priority. There are rakes of nice restaurants in Waterford but you can google them if you want.

The train is lovely, but you will almost certainly need a fleece or similar on as it is along the river and through the woods and usually quite chilly!

What's the story with the fireworks on Sun night? Is it to mark some occasion?

Dragons’ Eggs, Flying Fish and Roman Candles – no not a collection of clues in a riddle but just some of the names of the spectacular fireworks effects that will light up the sky over Tramore on Sunday night, August 25th.

Tramore Amusement Park presents its third annual Family Fun Day with a host of family activities including free face painting, balloon modelling, sweets, novelties and a few surprises

In what promises to be a wonderful family day out, the whole event will come to a climax with the fireworks show.

Huge crowds are expected again this year to enjoy the day, and especially the unique atmosphere created by fireworks reach literally hundreds of feet into the night sky.

With a mixture of thrill rides and a host of family attractions, Tramore Amusement Park caters for all ages. The Wild Mouse Spinning Rollercoaster and Jungle River log flume rides are joined by the Goldmine Express, a family rollercoaster which can be enjoyed by parents and children together. Machines such as the Dominator, Waltzer, Future Dance and others are “white-knuckle” favourites, while lots of games of skill and chance are enjoyed by those who love to win a prize of two while remaining on solid ground!

With its wide array of kiddie rides the Park provides hours of the best family entertainment. All the usual attractions and the extra fun items on Sunday, 25th will guarantee a truly memorable family day out.

When the sun starts to set, and the lights come on, a magical atmosphere is created. The rides, the games, and the music combine to make Tramore Amusement Park a wonderful fairground experience. Sunday 25th will be even more special when some wonderful family memories are created.

So for the best family day out this summer don’t miss Tramore Amusement Park Sunday, August 25th for a day full of fun, frolics and fireworks.
