    Hi,

I work in interior design and want to learn to create high quality 3D renders. I have experience with basic 3D software but have never used the likes of 3D Max, Vray or Rhino.

Does anyone know of a course that would take you from complete beginner to expert level? Preferably a night course or part-time cert/diploma.

Second question is if it takes long to learn how to use the likes of 3D Max. I know it depends on the person, commitment etc but just wondering.

This is something that I am really interested in so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance!

If you want to look at free alternatives, have a look at blender. It's FOSS and can produce some very high quality renders using its new cycles renderer. You'll find plenty of online materials and books.

As regards actual courses I'm afraid I'm not much help.

I've just downloaded blender a few days ago and find it very good.

some easy to follow tutorials on this channel. Give it a try before committing to a course and see how you get on.

also this site gives you an idea of what can be achieved http://www.blenderguru.com/

For interior design I'd recommend 3Dmax just because as an Autodesk product its going to integrate well with AutoCad.

And I would guess there's more courses on Max than other packages although I dont know.

But nothing wrong with Blender either.
